  • Christmas Jumper Swap

    Tue 14 Nov 2023

1 in 4 Christmas Jumpers are only worn once.  Help us to combat plastic pollution and save money by swapping your 'old' jumper for a 'new' one.

Bring in your clean Christmas jumper between  20.11.23 - 04.12.23, the school Eco-Council will then sort the jumpers ready for them to be swapped on 07.12.23.

Children can then wear their new jumper on Christmas lunch day 14.12.23

  • Odd Socks Day 13.11.23

    Tue 14 Nov 2023

Many of our children and staff wore odd socks today to signal the start of Anti-Bullying Week.  We started the week by wearing odd socks and participating in an Anti-Bullying Assembly.  By wearing odd socks, we are saying that it is ok to be different and that we stand up against discrimination and bullying.

    During the assembly we discussed:

    • A definition of bullying
    • What to do if you are being bullied
    • What to do if you witness bullying
    • Who to report bullying to
    • Why we should make a noise about bullying
    • Why it is important to keep everyone safe

    Some great colourful socks!

    Saturday 8th July  11-1pm

    Venue: St Margaret Clitherow playground

In collaboration with the Shine Charity and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St Margaret Clitherow will host a pop-up foodbank where the public will be able to come and collect perishable food  items  donated by local supermarkets.

This initiative will begin this Saturday 8th July and run on a weekly.

Food is free, however, Shine asks for a donation of £1 which contributes to their 'Pay-it-Forward' scheme, whereby donations are invested in other charitable works.

Please spread the word to anyone who you may know is in need of help with rising food costs.
