St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School

We act with love, build our faith and grow as people

Admissions

St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School is a school within the Frassati Catholic Academy Trust and is part of the parish of St.Joseph's and St Margaret Clitherow.  If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of admission arrangements below.

Choosing a school for your child is an important decision and we would encourage you to arrange a visit before making your final choice.

The Governing Body of St. Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School is responsible for the admission of children to the school. We ask all parents applying for a place to respect the ethos of the school and its importance to the school community. This does not affect the rights of parents who are not of the faith of the school , to apply for and be considered for a place.

Every academic year, the Governing Body of St. Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School will admit up to 30 children who will become 5 years of age on or between 1st September 2020 and the 31st August 2021.Whilst children are normally admitted in September of the admission year, parents do have the right to defer entry fro their child until his/her statutory start date - the start of the term following his/her 5th birthday. However, they cannot defer entry until September 2021, which is a new school year. In that case a new application for the entry into Year R or Year 1 would be necessary. Parents have the right to request that their child takes up their place on a part time basis until the child reaches compulsory school age. Should you be considering deferring entry for your child, please discuss this further with the Head Teacher.

To make an application for a place at St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School, parents/guardians/carers must contact the School Admissions Team at Bracknell Forest (Tel: 01344 354023) and ask for a Common Application Form (CAF). Alternatively you can use click here to apply for a place now. All parent/guardian/carers will be required to complete this form.

A Supplementary Information Form (SIF) needs to be completed if you are supplying additional evidence to support your application. A copy of the SIF is available to download below, or may be collected from the school office. Once the SIF is completed it must be returned to the school office with original documentation. The parent/guardian/carer needs to ensure that the CAF is completed and returned direct to Bracknell Forest.
