Year 6 Residential 2024

Day 3

Good morning all, we made it to the last day of our residential & the sun is shining!
The children were definitely tired this morning & I had to wake them up 😁
However, they are all looking forward to our final day of activities.

We will see you all at 2.30 this afternoon.

Activities:

What a glorious final day! Today our activities included Orienteering, Zig Zag, Leap of Faith and Crate Stacking.  The theme of the day was ‘courage & encouragement’ and despite being tired, the children approached each activity with enthusiasm, courage, encouraged each other and challenged themselves. All of the children made progress as the activities went on should all be proud of themselves.

Day 2

Good morning everyone,

The children had a good sleep and are ready for the day's activities.  Check back later to see what activities they managed to complete.

Mrs Ridguard

Activities:

Today’s activities included High Ropes, Mountain Boarding, Team Games & Flying Kiwi.
All the children thoroughly enjoyed the days and voted Flying Kiwi their favourite activity of the day. Luckily for us the rain held off until dinner time and the group voted for indoor activities for the evening. We will be having a BBQ followed by some games on the field and then a movie night with popcorn and hot chocolate.
Hopefully the children will sleep well tonight!

Day 1

Our activities today included: Bushcraft - making a fire, then toasting marshmallows and building a den; Low Ropes where each group had to navigate a course of platforms and wires without falling into the lava; Indoor Climbing and Bouldering and finally Archery. A great day had by all and the rain held off for most of the day!
