We act with love, build our faith and grow as people

PTA

All our parents automatically become part of the SMC PTA (parent and teacher association).

Our purpose is to raise charitable funds to benefit the school and our children’s education.

In previous years we have held numerous events- Fireworks night, Macmillan coffee morning, Christmas Fayre, Summer fayre/ music festival, raffles, camping nights and many school discos! We have also facilitated children’s Christmas cards, Father Christmas letters, eco bag collections, and second hand uniform sales.

With the money raised from these endeavours, we have funded annually, in-school pantomimes, dictionaries for our Year 6 leavers, and bibles for our Holy communion class. In addition last year we provided over 12k in funds to support new IPADS, and individual classroom funds.

This year we have already agreed to provide funds of 6k for updating the ‘Den’, a new IT security programme, and funds to improve the Early Years setting. We would like to do so much more!

We couldn’t do all of this without the help and support of each and everyone one of our parent and teacher community. Volunteering as class representative, helping out at events, coming to events/ joining in with the organised activities, and giving donations for  raffles/ fayres, are all ways that you can support the SMC PTA, your school and our children.

It is going to be a bit of a different year in regard to fund raising, but if we all put our heads together I am sure that we will come up with some interesting and different ways to raise these much needed funds.

If you would like to be involved in any way or are interested in volunteering in the future, but want to know more about what will be involved, or what you might be signing yourself up to, then please send me a message or stop me for a chat.
