Splatz Breakfast & After-school Club
The breakfast club is managed by Mrs Blair and Mrs Burkhart. Access to the breakfast club, is via the front pedestrian gate, through the main entrance of the school. There is a separate Splatz doorbell – please only use this for Splatz drop-offs and collections and not the main school office bell.

- Splatz Activity Clubs consists of a Breakfast Club and After-School Club, which have been set up by St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School (SMC) and are run by our school’s own staff. We are registered with Ofsted under the school registration.
- To make a booking you must complete the ‘SMC BOOKING FORM’ for the appropriate club and return it to the office. This acts as an agreement to these terms and conditions. You can then either pay at this point online through SCOPAY or Childcare Vouchers.
3. | Regular Long-Term bookings must be paid for half a term in advance at least fourteen days prior to first day. Notice period for cancellation of Regular Long-Term bookings is also half a term. No refunds can be given. One-off bookings must be booked and paid for seven days prior to first day. Exceptional circumstances will be considered at short notice. |
- SMC holds all medical and dietary information about children that attend SMC and we will check if there are any changes to this. If there is any supplementary information that is relevant to your child attending then please let the club’s supervisor know.
- If we are unable to offer you a regular place on your chosen day(s) we will retain your details on a waiting list and we will endeavour to contact you should a place arise. Size of club will be dependent on staff available and age of children attending. Availability of places will be on a first come first serve basis. We will notify you of availability when you book.
- In order to meet our duty of care, any child that has a place in a session where they do not appear will be presumed missing and the parents/carers will be contacted.
- All the Splatz Activity Clubs, like the school itself have a responsibility to contact Social Services if we are concerned in any way about the safety of a child. We have a duty of care for the welfare of the child and will share any concerns with the School, Child Protection Officer and SENCO.
- If after making a booking and paying, your child is unable to attend a session, unfortunately, you will not be able to have your payment refunded because staff have been employed and food will have been ordered in advance for your child. Exceptional circumstances will be considered at short notice.
- Unless it is requested by the club, children should not bring their own toys, games or any items of value onto the site. We are unable to accept responsibility for such items.
- Children are not permitted to bring their own food to the clubs unless this has been agreed in writing by the school in advance of their attendance at the club.
- We reserve the right to withdraw an offer of a place in the following circumstances:
- Unacceptable behaviour resulting in distress or disruption to adults or children at the club.
- Where a child has not attended the club for their allocated session for a period of 3 consecutive weeks.
- Where payments are not made in advance and arrears are accumulating we reserve the right to cancel the booking with immediate effect.

Opening times | 7:45am – 8:40am. BREAKFAST SERVED UP TO 8:10AM |
Food Offered | A light breakfast such as cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, water, milk and juice. |
Start | Drop-off from 7:45am. Children are dropped off via the Office Reception by ringing on the marked bell. The responsible adult signs the register. |
End | Children are taken to their class teacher at 8:40am for the start of the school day. |
Activities | Arts and crafts, Ipads, cookery and hall or playground games. |
| AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB DETAILS |
Days | Mon- Fri every day the school has a normal running day. |
Eligibility | St Margaret Clitherow children only. |
Pricing | £10 for first child and £8.50 for siblings. One set price for part or whole session. |
Opening Times | 3:15pm – up to 6:00pm. |
Food Offered | A light snack such as beans on toast or pizza, fruit, yoghurt, water, milk and juice. |
Start | At 3:15pm the children are taken to the club by their class teacher/supervisor. The club supervisor will register the children. |
End | Pick up is by the Office Reception by ringing on the marked bell. Pick up MUST be before 6:00PM. Splatz reserve the right to charge a fee of £5.00 for late collection The responsible adult will sign out their child/ren. |
